Tailored Support workshop  (one-day session)

The objectives of this one-day session are:

Review the research messages on Independent Reviewing Officers, enabling participants to reflect on these and develop a framework for future priorities by:

  • Considering the development and future of the IRO role in light of legislation and policy
  • Revisiting current research findings, evidence and recent Ofsted judgements in relation to the IRO role
  • Considering management of change
  • Considering how the IRO understands and enables defensible decision-making within the child’s timeframe
  • Developing an evidence-informed plan for your local IRO service in light of the above.

Aimed at: IROs; Quality Assurance managers; team managers from other children’s services teams

Usual timings: 9:45am-4pm
