Overview and programme
Join us at this year’s Link Officers’ Annual Meeting (LOAM). This popular event is a unique opportunity for Partners to share practice, discuss emerging sector issues and learn from one another.
The theme for LOAM this year is understanding practice models. In recent years the sector has focused increasing attention to the cultures, frameworks and systems in which social work takes place. What is (and what is not) a model of practice? What difference does it make to implement a shared framework across an organisation of locality? We will explore the evidence and share experiences in designing, implementing and working with a range of current models.
If you would like to showcase the development or implementation of a practice model in your organisation, please speak to your Account Manager.
There will also be opportunities to:
- Attend a support session for new Link Officers, an invaluable session if you have recently taken on the role. Account Managers will recommend how best to promote Research in Practice within your organisation and give advice on the Link Officer role.
- Hear the latest developments from Research in Practice.
- Network with other Link Officers from across the Partnership network.
All Link Officers across the Research in Practice network.
About the Link Officers’ Annual Meeting
Link Officers are the lynchpin between Research in Practice and a Partner organisation. They focus on embedding learning and development within their organisation and championing evidence-informed practice.
LOAM brings together Link Officers from across the national Research in Practice network. This popular annual event is a unique opportunity for Partners to share best practice, discuss emerging sector issues and to learn from one another.
LOAM is a residential event and attendance (including overnight accommodation and catering) is included in organisational membership to Research in Practice.
Link Officer Awards
In recognition of our Link Officers’ efforts to support learning and development and to champion evidence-informed practice, we will be holding the annual Link Officer Awards at LOAM. More information on how to vote will follow soon.
Link Officers can request their place online. If you have any questions please contact our events team via firstname.lastname@example.org or 01803 847264.
