The Wales College Programme 2007-2010

In 2004, the 22 authorities in Wales collectively joined the research in practice network, the largest children and families research implementation project in the UK, under the name ‘The Wales College’. This is a unique collaboration across Wales which aims to raise standards of practice in work with children and families by increasing levels of awareness and use of research evidence. The Heads of Children’s Services Forum is the Steering Group for this initiative, giving direction and guidance on the development of the partnership. This group has recently extended the Wales College contract until 2010 after a positive evaluation of the first three years of the College.
