Publications for the Wales College

All 22 Local Authorities in Wales are members of the College and are able to access a range of products including regular updates, research reviews and briefings (some bi-lingual), handbooks and CDs by way of regular mailings sent to the Link Officers of each authority. The Social Services Improvement Agency handles the onward distribution of research-based materials provided by research in practice.

As well as material in English members of the Wales College also have access to a number of publications in Welsh. Our Children First series, bilingual Welsh/English research briefings, were originally commissioned and produced in English for the Quality Protects initiative and support key objectives of the Children First initiative in Wales. We also publish bilingual versions of our Champions for Children series, research briefings for Councillors. Look here for further details.
