This short and accessible 25-page literature review is part of a longer report (Resource 3, pp 55-79), produced by Nottingham Education Department entitled: ‘Improving Behaviour through Therapeutic Approaches: Research into Practice in Nottingham City Learning Support Units’. The review describes and evaluates the evidence base for 31 therapeutic approaches; approaches that have been used for pupils with challenging behaviour in secondary schools.
