This review was commissioned by the NSPCC to document what is known about child pornography. It begins by defining child pornography and then discusses its scope and character. Having clarified its nature, the authors review the research on its patterns of production, distribution and consumption. This is followed by a discussion of its impact on children. The report closes with a look at the topical issue of child pornography and the internet.
