Neglect: Recognition and Response Webinar - 22/09/11

Recent research has shown that neglect is the most common reason for child protection registrations, with some studies suggesting that as many as 10 percent of children in the UK have experienced some form of neglect.

This webinar focuses on three main issues:

  • recognising the signs of neglect
  • knowing the effects of neglect on vulnerable children and young people
  • understanding the role that social care professionals can play, both in terms of preventing neglect and supporting children who have experienced neglect.
