Learning from Serious Case Reviews: Messages for Practice

In December 2009 'Chapter 8' of Working Together to Safeguard Children was updated to reflect Lord Laming's recommendations on Serious Case Reviews (SCRs) and the outcomes of a public consultation.

At least every two years, the DCSF commissions an overview analysis of Serious Case Reviews in England to draw out themes and trends, so that lessons learnt from cases as a whole can inform both policy and practice.
