Frontline briefing: Promoting resilience in children and young people

This is the second in our series of online briefings for frontline practitioners, taking a ‘big’ theoretical concept and synthesising it for professionals working directly with children and families. This briefing on resilience in children and young people is designed for a range of professionals from social workers, teachers and youth workers to health visitors and foster carers. It identifies processes that can help promote and enhance resilience in children, young people and their families and suggests a variety of evidence-informed interventions. The accompanying hard copy tool offers a table of assets, threats and interventions for children and young people at different stages of development is intended as a useful ready reference tool.
