Partnership Conference on domestic abuse is now online. We've been trialling the online streaming and recording of our events - here they are.

As part of our ongoing commitment to provide innovative learning experiences for our partners we have begun to trial the online streaming and recording of our events to make them available to a wider audience. Our piloting continued in March with a small group of volunteers viewing parts of our Partnership Conference on Domestic Abuse online, giving us a chance to iron out practical issues in using the technology.

You can view the recordings on our website. Please be advised that recordings from the conference are part of a trial and should be treated as a work in progress. Thanks to staff from Peterborough, TACT, Northumberland, West Berkshire and Bristol for helping us out this time.

This conference Domestic Abuse: The impact on children and young people saw the launch of our new Research Review written by Nicky Stanley and an e-learning module on the same topic. A packed programme included sessions on the key findings from the review, as well as the latest research on working effectively with violent men, effective screening, parent abuse, violence in young people’s relationships, perpetrator programmes and interagency risk assessment. Blackpool and Southall Black Sisters also shared their innovative practice in establishing domestic abuse services. All of the delegates who answered the question rated the conference as ‘very good’ or ‘good’, with many providing positive comments about the day:

‘The quality of information provided was excellent and it is really interesting to hear about ongoing/new research, especially about what works in practice.’
‘An excellent day’s training with knowledgeable speakers.’
