We recently consulted with you regarding a new Change Project to focus on using research evidence in the configuration and commissioning of early intervention services at a local level.
Many thanks for the sixteen responses to this consultation:
- Twelve were firmly in favour of the proposal
- One was against (as commissioning for Early Intervention is not within that agency’s remit)
- Three expressed concerns about the timing of the project – in relation to the Comprehensive Spending Review, and ensuring its fit with other initiatives, such as C4EO materials, ADCS initiatives and Graham Allan and Iain Duncan Smith’s review. The project will of course be developed in conversation with these pieces of work
- Most respondents prioritised involvement of strategic level staff but were in favour of the project including both these and others, particularly locality managers
- There was a clear steer in terms of including a range of staff from across the Children’s Trust, particularly from health and education
We will now look to develop firm timescales and dates for this Change Project and keep you informed through the website and other communications.
