Colleen Eccles, our Deputy Director, has left to take up a new opportunity working in social housing and community development in Sheffield.  We were extremely sorry to lose her.  She has worked at Research in Practice for over eight years, most recently as Deputy Director, and made an enormous contribution to our work.  She has most recently been leading the Change Project on Play and Housing and among other really important areas of work she led the Evidence Matters Change Project, the learning programme, and the Think Research workshops about using evidence in commissioning and our links with international organisations including most memorably a live teleconference between DCSs here and their counterparts in California!  She was an excellent Regional Lead and her passion for evidence-informed practice was clear in everything she did.  Coll will continue to be involved in the Play and Social Housing Change Project and we hope that her move will lead to new opportunities for joint work too.  We are very pleased that Sarah Moore is acting Team Leader for the Sheffield team pending a permanent appointment.
