what are national policy links?
We currently provide research links to helpful research sites. Interest from our members has led to this area of the site being developed to provide a more comprehensive overview of current national policy initiatives (together with the linked website) as an easy-to-access guide to current key initiatives in social care, health and education for childcare managers and practitioners. Where possible it has been possible to identify them, equivalent agencies, funds, initiatives and projects in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland are noted.
how are they organised?
The policy links include current national
policy initiatives, sometimes listed under government
department with lead responsibility - other policy
initiatives that are not linked to a government
department (for example, the National and Family
Parenting Institute) are listed under their name.
The page also includes links to key policy documents
(for example, Every Child Matters). Each policy
link contains a brief description of the linked
website content. Do note that details or hard
copies of the documentation linked to identified
sites can be obtained from Government
Publications: (new window) which contains
online official documents prepared by the Stationary
Office, including Acts of Parliament, White Papers,
Statutory Instruments and consultative documents.
Do contact Elizabeth@rip.org.uk if you would like a policy link included.
