Not in a Partner agency?

Many pages on our website are still available for viewing even if you are not part of a Partner agency Click here to see our web guide. We would welcome enquiries from those agencies who wish to join research in practice as Partners. For more information on joining the network please contact: ask@rip.org.uk

What do you get if you join?

  • Learning Events Programme: Approximately 1,300 places are offered over 26 events in 15 venues around the country annually to Partners.  Each Partner agency is entitled to 20 places across the Learning Events Programme
  • Change Projects have a life-cycle of four or five years providing opportunities for us to work collaboratively with a few Partner agencies to explore a particular aspect of using research in policy-making and practice. The end product is a set of practical materials that crystallise our collective learning, usually accompanied by audio-visual resources, and which is distributed free to Partners
  • Publications: free research reviews, research briefings and updates, tools and findings are delivered regularly across the network, reflecting not only the breadth of our work but also the different needs of people working at different levels in Partner agencies. Plus the delivery of key research findings and practice messages in non-print formats, such as audiotapes, CDs and video
  • Free access to the whole website: It offers speedy access to evaluated research information and helps Partners see how their work with research in practice relates to the other strands of our work programme. It ensures that research awareness and Evidence-Informed Practice are at the heart of Partners’ strategy for children and families
  • Networking opportunities: structured opportunities for all Partners to learn from and with each other. e.g. a widely used email exchange group allows access to the skills and experience of the whole network of 100+ different agencies.
  • Working with research in practice for ADULTS (RiPfA): Collaboration and communication between our two organisations ensures Partners’ greater awareness of relevant policy and research developments relating to adults. It also reflects our increasingly multidisciplinary approach.
