Partnership working on the front-line: A Change Project
Aims of this Change Project
To bring together a group of people who have knowledge and/or experience of managing or working in partnership on the front-line of services to children and young people. We will explore the research and effective practice with a view to developing practical tools and materials as guidance for promoting more effective front-line working in partnership.

Why front-line partnership working?
This Change Project has developed out of interest expressed within the research in practice network for support with developing front-line partnership working. The context for the thinking behind the need for this project is the national agenda expressed within Every Child Matters: Change for Children, and the accompanying recent Children Act (2004) the overall aim of which is
‘...to encourage integrated planning, commissioning and delivery of services as well as improve multi-disciplinary working, remove duplication, increase accountability and improve the co-ordination of individual and joint inspections in local authorities'.
The Act provides a legislative spine for the wider strategy for improving children's lives.
This Change Project is framed around the research in practice peer-reviewed research review Professionalism, Partnership and Joined-up Thinking: A research review of front-line working with children by Nick Frost in which he reviews the literature on this subject and Developing Multiprofessional Teamwork for Integrated Children's Services by Anning A et al. (2006) Open University
