The research in practice network is now made up of over 100 participating agencies (see list below) consisting of local authorities, statutory and childcare organisations and national agencies and a partnership with the 22 authorities in Wales known as the Wales College (see details below). research in practice promotes the development of evidence-informed practice and policy in child welfare by offering a distinctive set of services to Partner agencies. Your Regional Lead
Every agency in the network has a Regional Lead. This is one of research in practice's policy officers based at either Sheffield or Dartington who is on hand as the first port of call for any queries

Link Officers are operational team members who promote and support
the use of evidence in service delivery.
2nd Tier Champions are senior managers who are committed to driving up the use of robust research evidence in planning across the whole of children’s services

Wales College
The 22 authorities in Wales have now signed up to the Wales College, a partnership with research in practice which was successfully launched on 8 October (2004) at Llandrindod Wells in mid-Wales. Contact Elizabeth Cooke for more details elizabeth@rip.org.uk
