We are one of the four core partners in C4EO, leading on the capacity building work which includes training events and peer-to-peer support. C4EO identifies and coordinates local, regional and national evidence of ‘what works’, to create a single and comprehensive picture of effective practice in delivering children's services. Using this information, C4EO offers bespoke support to local authorities and their wider partners, working with them to improve outcomes for children, young people and their families.
We are co-leads of LARC, the Local Authorities Research Consortium. LARC is an innovative, sector-led initiative supporting local authorities in carrying out research and evaluation to explore the impacts of integrated working. Now in its third round, LARC3 is looking at evidence of cost avoidance through early intervention supported by CAF processes.
The latest research report, Early intervention, using the CAF process, and its cost effectiveness. Findings from LARC3, published in April 2011 can be downloaded here.
We work closely with our parallel agency, research in practice for adults which promotes the use of evidence-informed policy and practice in adult social care.
